A Little Background.

I was born and raised down in south-east Missouri - Kennett. Worked the cotton fields until I was old enough to join the military service. Spent three(3) years in the US Army. Worked for an Apiary (honeybee company) for a year. Migrated to Pekin, Illinois in 1962. Complete my mandatory training in a local supermarket,(every young man has to work at a grocery store, don't they) where I met my wife, Judie. Worked in the construction trade, then on the Rock Island Railroad for a few years. Joined the Boilermaker union in 1965 as a welder. Spent twelve years there before leaving to joined the local police department. 

On August 30, 1974, I was sworn in as a commissioned police officer for the City of Pekin, Illinois. I was assigned badge number 114 as a patrolman.
In 1977, I was transferred to the detective division where I served until July of 1980 when I was promoted to Sergeant and assigned badge number 204. I was assigned to patrol division for 6 months, then reassigned to the detective division.

I retired from the Pekin Police Department on August 30, 1994. I had served twenty years.

In October of 1988,  my brother, Dennis and I, opened a private detective agency.  Though I retired from the police department after twenty years, we still have the private detective agency.
