All the actors in the film were local actors. The Showdown is now being shown in America and many foreign countries.

Based on the personal experience of Officer Jim Conover and his book, Slayer Of Innocence, written about the disappearance and murders of several young boys from carnivals, County and State Fairs throughout the Mid- West during the 1970s. It was discovered by the detectives that these terrible crimes were being committed by a hobo.
